PIT Student Leaders Conference:

The Potential and Pitfalls of Public Interest Technology

April 30 - May 1, 2021

Are you a student grappling with the potential and pitfalls of public interest technology (PIT)? Apply for the PIT Student Leaders Conference at Stanford University! In an effort to support students who are changing the structures and systems that shape tech development, the PIT Lab at Stanford is excited to equip you with the skills and community to be a PIT leader at your school.

The virtual conference will convene students from across the country to hear perspectives from leaders in PIT, share experiences building PIT communities, and build long-lasting connections with each other. Over the two-day virtual conference on April 30 and May 1, you will participate in workshops, presentations, and social events.

You will experience the conference with a small cohort of like-minded peers. Conversations over sponsored meals will provide ideas and connections to last beyond the conference itself, and all participants will also receive commemorative PIT-related items in the mail! Whether you’re already a student leader in PIT or you’re interested in becoming one, we encourage you to apply.

To be considered for this opportunity, apply here by April 4 at 11:59pm PT. Feel free to share this opportunity with students in your campus communities.

Questions can be directed to stanfordpitlab@gmail.com. We hope to learn and grow alongside you at the PIT Student Leaders Conference!
